To be considered for The Tasmanian Premier’s Landcare Award, a member of the Landcare Tasmania community must be well recognised as an innovator or role model, have provided inspiration to the community, or have built widespread engagement or understanding of Landcare.
Sharyn has always been an extraordinary volunteer and her work with us has been invaluable. Since joining, Sharyn has undertaken many jobs assisting with track building for the Echo Sugarloaf walking track, rehabilitation of the quarry reserve, beach cleanups, fundraising and much more.
Last weekend, in recognition of her extensive work, Sharyn was awarded the Tasmanian Premier’s Landcare Award: Celebrating Innovation and Inspiration. This highly coveted award recognises her innovation, inspiration and community building in Landcare and land management.
Under Sharyn’s guidance and wisdom, we have been able to ensure the successful regeneration of many of our conservation areas.
Contact us or just show up to a working bee to get involved and join our award-winning team. With time and hard work, you might win an award too!
Congratulations Sharyn for winning this major Landcare accolade.
